Every once in a while, there's nothing quite like sitting in the company of friends, or packing up a car with family, and heading off to dig into a stack of pancakes, laden with maple and chocolate syrup, or an omelette with bacon on the side; and even better to give in to that plateful of steaming, hot chhole-bhature {we've been told desi ghee is good for you!} We gave you a list of our favourite places before {check Delhi breakfast places}, and we're adding to it with a few more brekker haunts that have us going back again. Cafes in TownThe Blue Door Café | We visit this cute café for a traditional American breakfast of eggs, bacon and pancakes. We love the Eggs Benedict here, and the colorful décor only adds to the charm.

Cafe Qahwah | This cafe is ideal for early morning runners - it opens at 7 am. We recommend the Americano for coffee lovers and the Tulsi Masala Chai for those who need their morning tea fix.

L'Opera | We head to L’Opera when we're in the mood for a delicious sandwich made in one of their signature breads, along with a cup of coffee. PS: This charming French patisserie also sells their exceptional breads.

Maison des Desserts | We've been fans of this Patisserie for a while, but we recently discovered their breakfast menu, and we loved it! We ordered waffles, and a mango shake to go with it.

Smokehouse Deli | Smokehouse's Buttermilk Pancakes make it to our breakfast order every time we find ourselves there. Also popular are the exhaustive range of eggs, breakfast sides and bagels {go with the cream cheese} that go with their delectable shakes.

Amour Bistro | One of the early risers, Amour Bistro has a massive spread to choose from including eggs done your way, cereal and pancakes. We recommend the Carnivorous Platter {Eggs done your way, a choice of chicken/pork sausages or bacon, hash browns, beans, mushrooms and the choice of either whole wheat bread or french baguette} for a full, filling breakfast. For the vegetarians, replace the meat with soya sausages and enjoy the rest.

Cheap EatsSagar Ratna: Not much needs to be said about this all time favorite, time-tested chain. Paper dosas, anyone? We also love their filter coffee to kickstart our mornings.

Chache di Hatti | This old stall in the heart of Kamla Nagar has been selling piping hot aloo- bhature for decades. Give in to those cravings every once in a while with this quintessential Punjabi food. We have the aloo-walle bhature here.

State Bhawans | The state bhawans have lots of culinary delights on offer, and at very reasonable rates. The South Indian breakfast at Andhra Bhavan and Karnataka Food Centre are our favourites, and are very easy on the pocket. Check out more State Bhawan's around town, here.
