Suchitra Film Society, one of the city's oldest film societies, is playing home to the fifth edition of the Bangalore International Short Film Festival later this month. They want to celebrate “exceptionally imagined, tightly scripted, powerfully told” short films.

We've peeked at their full list of 281 films, and it looks promising. The films include psychological thrillers about taxi drivers, tell the stories of authoritarian education systems, chance meetings of strangers on a train, and so many more. We're looking forward to this one.
