Watson’s The Grub Pub and Swordfish Events & Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. presents Echoes of Earth Music Festival on the 18th and 19th November at Embassy Riding School. For the second edition of Echoes of Earth, we’re getting even closer to the pulse of great live music. To get a sneak preview, come over to Watson’s JP Nagar at 7:30 PM on the 10th Of November to witness Thaalavattam formed by Montry Manuel, a percussionist and graphic designer. This year, we are bringing back all the elements that you loved so much from last year; a whole lot of your favourite and new international artists, music and community in the lap of nature. Truly a location to have a music festival experience unlike any other with 150 acres of lush surroundings, 40+ artists, 4 stages, a variety of cuisine at our food court, lifestyle workshops, flea market and a sapling drive! Internationally, Thaalavattam was ‘the first live act from India’, having performed at the O.Z.O.R.A. Music Festival in Hungary in 2014. It’s organic grooves emerge from discarded tubes, industrial waste materials, paint cans, plastic bottles, bicycle parts, etc. These were reborn as hybrid percussion kits, floating jugs, tubes, didgeridoos etc. and then, electronically sampled to offer a musical experience that is earthly and organic, yet ethereal and otherworldly. Thaalavattam means ‘A Circle of Rhythm’ and is a unique percussion-project from India which harnesses the universal power of music to inspire people to REDUCE, REUSE and RETUNE!
