Masterclasses, Pub Crawls And Mixology: Bangalore Cocktail Week Is Here

What Is It?

Hallelujah, people are taking The Black Eyes Peas’ song Tonight Is Going To Be a Good Night very seriously. Why? Well, why else would there be seven glorious days of mixing drinks, playing with ingredients and more importantly drinking these heady cocktails. To celebrate the craftsmanship required to be a good mixologist, 25 hotspots in the city will join in to host masterclasses by celebrity mixologists {including Hemanth Mundkur and Jamie Walker} focussing on specific spirits. Yes, yes, there’s gin, beer and whisky mixology workshops for you to hone your {presumably amateur} skills. After all, this noble art of creating and pouring the perfect concoction must be brought into the spotlight, you’ll agree?

Who Is It For?

For those who like that bit of competition, there’s even a Most Innovative Bartender competition for all of you home mixologists to show off. If you manage to make it to the round of 20, then your fine creation will be brought before a panel of experts and internationally acclaimed mixologists to be judged for victory. And then there’s the likes of the LBB Crew who’ll just want to sip on a quirky concoction. For us folk, there’s a pub crawl that kicks off in Indiranagar {September 2}. Oh! The places you'll go…

Why Should I Go For It?

For the best part of this entire week – discounts. From Smoke House Deli, Shiro and Watsons to Bootlegger, Hammered and The Biere Club, they’re all cutting a marvellous deal with signature cocktails at just INR 300 if you make a reservation through the DineOut app or website. Still asking if you should go?
