Bangalore Pubs, Bars & Clubs Can Sell Alcohol Between 9AM And 7PM Until May 17 Or Until Stocks Last

The information in this post might be outdated

The Karnataka state government has allowed clubs, bars and pubs, to sell alcohol to clear their stocks. This is applicable ONLY to standalone enterprises and not those in malls and and any other complexes. The bars and pubs will be allowed to sell sealed bottles of alcohol at MRP, and they will only be allowed to sell as takeaway. According to Bangalore Mirror, Excise Minister H Nagesh has taken into consideration the pleas of restaurant owners and associations, and allowed for this. And with Bangalore being the beer capital, and beer having a shorter shelf life, we're sure the city will be happy to get some of these stocks at home. They will be permitted to sell between 9am and 7pm.

If you do decide to go to any of the standalone bars, pubs or clubs, please make sure to wear a mask, maintain social distancing, and drink and purchase drinks smartly. Please also confirm if the establishment is open, and check before you venture out as rules are constantly changing in these times.
