What Makes It Awesome?

Basil Bistro is a newly opened kid in the block and true to its name this place serves some amazing kickass Italian food. The ambience is quite small and dotted with comfy chairs and sofas and a well-equipped wine and mocktail counter

The menu is quite elaborative of Thai, continental and Italian classics. The food I tried here was a mix of continental and Italian stuff. To begin with, the place was jam-packed on a Monday night, which was a clear indicator of the food being good

We started with a Red wine sangria and to accompany us with the sangria we called for:
* Washington apple salad: this was crunchy, sweet, nutty and yummy all at the same time. A must try out here.
* Salad Of Capri: a good mix of lettuce, mozzarella chunks, basil pesto dressing and parmesan shavings

Coming to the appetizers I would recommend the

1) Peri-Peri chicken wings: loved the Peri-Peri spice mix on it, perfectly tangy and spicy. A must try out here

2) Spanakopita: a Greek classic done right, loved the Phyllis pastry and the spinach feta cheese stuffing, this was served hot but was polished in seconds

3) Broccoli almond soup: a great way to drink up your greens, antioxidant-rich, creamy and yummy need I say more?

4) Spinach and lamb ravioli: surely one of the best ravioli I have had in Bangalore, loved the pasta not too thick just perfectly stuffed with minced lamb and served on a bed of Ratatouille topped with creamy pesto sauce. Must-try

5) Churros with chocolate sauce: melt in the mouth churros coated with cinnamon dust and served with rather a generous portion of chocolate sauce. Another classic out here.

6) Blueberry cheesecake: one of the best .literally the best cheesecakes I have had in recent times. Loved the base the topping perfectly wobbly and creamy and cheesy the blueberry compote

The service was also quick and prompt considering the rush hour
