Head To Bene At Sheraton Grand For Their Tuscany Food Festival
1 May 2019 - 31 May 2019
In the mood for some really good Italian food? Head to Bene, the Italian restaurant in the Sheraton Grand at Brigade Gateway for their Tuscan Food festival!
What Makes It Awesome
Bring Europe to your doorstep with the Tuscan Food Festival at the award-winning Italian Restaurant, Bene at the Sheraton Grand Hotel - Brigade Gateway. Tuscany is known for being a food destination and what better way to celebrate it than by inviting popular chef Roberto Apa to prepare delicacies of the region.
The menu consists of an elaborate seven-course meal that starts with a Panzanella which is a with basil, zucchini, bell peppers and cheese. This was followed by the Gamberi in Dolceforte made with prawns, raisins and cinnamon (this was a little bland). The Testarol, a home-made pasta was served with basil pesto (this is vegetarian so if you prefer meat, we suggest asking for a substitute since it is quite simple). The Champignon Alla Fiorentina is a must try -- consisting of mushroom, butter, spinach, parmesan and onion, it is definitely one of the better dishes. Although simple, the flavour is on point.
For you meat lovers, you’ll enjoy the Coniglio in Porchetta which is rolled rabbit with garlic, parsley, pancetta, black pepper served with spring vegetables (the meat is cooked all the way and cuts through like butter!). Finally ending the meal on a sweet note is Zuccotto for dessert, expect Semifreddo (it has the texture of mousse) with cocoa powder, chocolate and sweet liquor. The festival is on till May 31, reserve a table here to enjoy a fine dining meal with a special one or to celebrate with family.
What Could Be Better
The menu has more vegetarian options than it does non-veg, but we suggest substituting the main course with the New Zealand lamb rack.
For those of you who consume alcohol, we suggest trying the Campari based Negroni as it acts as a palette cleanser between courses.
