Ten-second takeaway
A walk with your pooch, friendly competitions for the canines and even a fashion show - all at the Bengaluru Dogathon.
Dog days are here
Get set for a whole day of fun with your pet canine, with the Bengaluru Dogathon just around the corner. First of its kind in the city, the event hopes to make public spaces more accessible to pets, with owners looking after their dogs responsibly. Open to dogs {obviously!}, pet owners and visitors, the Dogathon promises you plenty of canine-themed entertainment options.
Fun time for pooches
While the Dogathon {a nice, long walk around the Kanteerava Stadium with your dog in tow} is definitely the main attraction of the day, the fun doesn't end there. You have a wide array of activities to choose from - puppet show, song requests, live grooming for your pet as well as stalls offering canine food and accessories. You could even sign your doggy up for one of the friendly competitions like Music Hoop, Dress Up, Heavy Pooch and Dog Macho Eater, to name a few.
What more in store?
On a serious note, the event will also include an adoption zone, a licensing zone, talks by industry experts {covering topics from dog grooming to behavioural training}, fundraising by dog shelters and talks by animal activists and NGOs. As a fitting finale for the day, the crowd will also get to enjoy a fashion show featuring retired police dogs and rescued mutts. Need we say more?
