What's Happening

Bengaluru is gearing up for its first ever Plog Run. Plogging, the Swedish workout that combines exercise and waste picking (which ends up being a full body workout by the end of it) is the answer we all need to shape up (ourselves) and clear out all the trash on the roads. This edition is organised by Go Native, BBMP, among others and has partnered with Hasirudala, Saahas and Trashin Recycling to help with all the waste picked off the roads during the event. The five kilometre run aims to bring a sense of ownership and cleanliness (you won’t believe how much trash we produce and litter till you start cleaning it up) in the area covered. Yes, you will have to pick up trash and run at the same time, so gear up with a giant garbage bag, some gloves, your running shoes and workout friendly clothes to make the city a cleaner place!
