Ten-second takeway

Folk art, wholesome food, folk culture and discussions about the Mother Earth are expected to reign supreme at the Bhoomi Utsav.

Down to Earth

This Friday, you can stop worrying about sustainability and get out there and take action instead. The Bhoomi Network, an organisation focused on creating awareness around sustainable living, has put together a day-long festival as a celebration of the earth. You can look forward to a farmer's market, a millet food festival, several documentaries and discussions, and workshops on diverse topics such as Kabir songs and origami.

Also planned are storytelling sessions, performances by members of the Soliga tribe, and a showcase of earth-friendly folk arts and crafts. Entry is free so that is more reason to head here.

Where: Bhoomi Network, 70 Chikkanayakana Halli Road, Off Doddakaneli, Sarjapur Road

When: Friday October 2, 10am-6pm.
