Remember those times when we would exchange different collectible cards with friends who had the ones we wanted? Well, seems like the age-old system is back! Organised by Barterstreets (an app that lets you exchange things and skills), The Book Barter Party happening this weekend will let you barter your books and meet others with similar interests. Along with a spot of book-related activities and games, we hear. Oh, and surprises for those who download their app.
All you need to do is take along a book (or two) and head to Urban Solace. Yes, it's that simple. Chat up with fellow barterers (over some wine and grub, perhaps?) and find someone you would like to trade your book with. So, by the end of the day, you get to walk away with a new book and a bunch of new friends as well! Sounds like a deal to us.
