Back after two stellar editions in 2016 and 2017, The Book Shop Crawl will take you on a literary trip across town, this November. A concept by Books & Brews (a book club of sorts) and The Humming Tree, The Book Shop Crawl will take bookworms, or those who want to get into the habit of reading, on a curated walk through the city's most iconic bookshops. If you're asking why, then more reason for you to sign up for this walk. Nothing compares to flipping through pages of a new (or old and used, really) book and escaping to a dreamland with the most intriguing characters. No Kindle will ever match up to that! Plus, you get to meet the folks behind these amazing stores, and they're probably worth writing books about themselves. Like Ollivander and his wand shop in Harry Potter!
We'll update you on the list of store you can expect to visit, but from experience, what we can vouch for on this crawl is oodles of fun, banter and discussions on books off all sorts (no one judges if you read 50 Shades Of Grey; OK maybe a little!). Make sure to bring along your card or cash. The last time we went, we bought so many books based on fellow readers' suggestions, it lasted us at least half a year!
