It was a great experience to be here at this newly opened brewery "Brother Barley Brewing Company" in HSR layout. The interiors are super classy, well lit and it's mostly leather sofas giving it an upscale ambience. It's a little smaller as compared to other breweries nearby. I visited them with a lot of expectations in my head and they mostly turned into reality.
To begin with, I had the Korean style calamari - the Korean aspect being sesame sauce and the spice quotient. In veg, I loved the cheesy jalapeno poppers. The loaded vet tacos are worth a try too.
Owing to the Oktoberfest, they have a special menu for the whole of October, where they have a German chicken sausage platter served along with some delicious dips for Rs 750/-. A little overpriced for the quantity though.
I tried a white rum-based cocktail which contains pineapple juice, kaffir like and coconut syrup which is a legacy drink to Mj_The_Mixologist who believes in spreading "The good vibe", rightly the name for his Bacardi legacy drink.
For the main course, I looked at nothing but the Chicken lasagna, the chicken was minced and marinated to perfection. The sauce was slightly thick. Ended my meal with a deliciously sumptuous Portion of walnut Brownie and ice cream.
But it wasn't over until I tried the Banoffee pie in a form that I'd least expect. It was just delicious. A martini glass was layered with crumble and filled with caramel pudding and bananas topped off with whipped cream.
What a steal deal.
