The now defunct New Government Electrical Factory {NGEF} has put up its entire stock of furniture and office wares up for sale for sometime now. The factory has been selling all its furniture to the public at literally throwaway prices ranging from INR 65 per kilo for steel products and between INR 2,500 to INR 7,500 for authentic teakwood furniture. Ok some of these pieces will need work, a lick of paint, pest control or even a loving hand by a carpenter, but some of the funky workmen’s stools, grand chairs and filing cabinets we spotted are totally worth the effort. You also get other office and functional decor such as lamp stands, tool boxes, and even compartmentalised boxes to keep your tiny bits and baubles. Plus, typewriters guys! Don’t be afraid to put your own spin on them while restoring them! Hurry, before everything is spirited away! Somebody else’s junk can be your treasure.
