Ladies, one thing was clear to us when we spoke to Vaishnavi Singh Dabi, founder of homegrown saree label Knari -- she is your new best friend when it comes to dressing the way you want. Her label is all about celebrating the spirit of women through the collection of sarees that she says is as 'unique as your personality'. The online saree label, launched amidst the pandemic in 2020, does handwoven Kanjeevarm silk sarees, linen sarees, Banarasi silk sarees, and Pathan Patol sarees in contemporary (almost avant-garde) designs and silhouettes without letting go of the timeless patterns and motifs. Think bottle green saree with woven checks, annapakshi motifs and golden zari borders or a Fanta Orange saree with patchwork details. Oh, and we even spotted limited edition organza sarees with silver tissue cutwork on Knari's Instagram feed.
We say Instagram because a website is still in the works (it's dropping soon we hear), so if you scroll through the feed you will see exactly what we are talking about. There's a limited-edition collection that's launching soon with contemporary sarees and handcrafted blouses. Speaking of blouses, that's another thing Vaishnavi and her label does. Customised or prêt, depending on the occasion, can be created for you and your style preferences to the t!
