Flirtatious

Flirtatious Swimwear

As the name would suggest, the collection from Flirtatious is flirty, slightly cheeky, vibrant and young. A designer brand, the price range might be slightly on the higher end, but it’s definitely worth it. Cut outs, overlaps, fringe detailing, tie detailin, and mesh detailing are what you will find in their collections, among other things. What’s cool is that, unlike the other brands on this list, Flirtatious has an extensive collection and is inspired by various other aesthetics too. Papaaya Swimwear

Papaaya Swimwear

Based out of Mumbai, Papaaya Swimwear will make you want to brink out the cocktails, find the sun and lounge on the beach. In fact, their swimwear collection is inspired by cocktails! While there aren't too many styles (I mean, really, how many bikini styles really are there!), that they're named after cocktails won us over! Blue Lagoon, Pink Flamingo and Lavendar Martini are options. Each in the corresponding colours, with a hint of a different design. One's a scoop crop top, another is a chic one-shoulder bikini and the third has a tie-up back.

A colleague picked up the Black Russian—a triangle bikini top with either a high-waist bottom or a cheeky low-waist one. While the strings seem flimsy, they're really not. What was appreciated more though was that the swimwear came in a box with an adorable pendant, and a hand-written note. Oh, plus a cocktail umbrella for proper vibes.

Verandah

Verandah Swimwear

Worn by the likes of Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhat, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sunny Leone, among others, Studio Verandah has simple styles with striking prints. Plunge-neck one-piece suits with Bougainvillea prints for girls who aren’t too busty; Black Bougainvillea printed ones with underwire to support a heavier bust or one-shoulder pieces, they have something for everyone. What I really like about the brand is that they have the same prints for the different designs—bikinis to halter bandeaus. They even have more functional full-sleeved tops to pair with high-waist bottoms, crop tops with bikini bottoms or hipster ones.

While prices on the website are in dollars, starting at 125, the flagship store in Goa will sort you out with IRL checking.
