What Is It?

Drawing a crowd of over 400,000 Bangaloreans last year, we think it’s safe to say Chitra Santhe is one of the city’s most anticipated annual events. Featuring a host of artists and their work from all over India, this local mela is back for its 14th edition. It will be spread out from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath — one of the city’s premiere art locales, drawing in the crème de la crème of the art world — on to the Kumara Krupa Road.

Who Is It For?

Connoisseurs and art appreciators alike, this is the perfect event to see what’s new on the art scene and check out India’s top talent. You can expect drawings, paintings, graphic prints, miniature paintings, sculpture, cartoons, caricatures, murals {basically anything and everything, we could go on all day} — and all at extremely affordable prices! Chitra Santhe promises ‘art for all’, and they certainly follow through, making art all the more accessible. If you’re looking to redecorate your home, kickstart your art collection or even just browse, this art fête is a true visual treat.

Why Should I Go For It?

Don't tell us the promise of a street full of melange of vibrant colours, a flurry of people and beautiful Bangalore winter weather doesn't tempt you. We're telling you now, the event goes on all-day for 11 hours, but that's definitely not enough time to browse through this behemoth collection. For that one day, the roads will be blocked off, and Kumara Krupa Road has some of the best green coverage in CBD so you know it's going to be a beautiful event.
