Enjoy Comforting Food From BowlSome

What Makes It Awesome?

Something is comforting about a meal in a bowl, especially some rice with some dal or curry poured in, dig in a spoon and you are set, either in a corner with a book or in front of a TV set. It’s easy to devour, less messy, and soothing in a rainy afternoon or sunny noon. I met comfort in a bowl, recently when I ordered a bow of Punjabi Dal with jeera rice from Bowl Some. What made it perfect was the Dal, perfectly cooked and seasoned toor dal that was just right hit all the right notes in the palate and was beautifully paired with the Jeera rice. Reminded me of the Dhaba style dal that I used to enjoy on long road trips. The Aloo Jeera with the bowl could have been a little spicier, but hey, that’s how Aloo jeera is made right

The Nawabi Paneer Rice Bowl had the delicious rich curry with beautifully cooked large chunks of paneer cubes that I loved, the peas Pulao was very mildly flavoured and a bit too dry to my liking. Overall, of the two rice bowls I ordered, this was my least favourite. However, add in a hint of mixed vegetable pickle, this bowl got elevated to a whole new level and that’s what I would recommend BowlSome to add not just in this combo but to every other rice bowl combos of theirs.

This venture from Ola Foods have already proved themselves with Khichdi Experiment, now with Bowl Some, they are on a ride hitting all the sweet spots for the Indian Foodie expecting some comfort food, highly recommended, order a bowl and share some comfort, and don’t forget to share your experience in the comments

What Could Be Better?

Am also looking forward to seeing some southeast Asian Bowls to be added to their already extensive menu offerings.
