This new cafe in BTM Layout promises endless conversations {it’s called Conversationz, after all}, North Indian khana and a choice of beverages. So much that we might just ignore the fact that they have only vegetarian dishes.

Lowdown On The Ambience
Done up in dark shades of grey and pink, Conversationz Cafe gives off the fun vibes that it stands for. Apart from booth seating and tables as well, they also have a staircase-like corner if you’re looking for a cosy spot to hold a birthday party or a fun hangout with friends. With its decor which includes a wall or two of cartoons {by illustrator and designer Alicia Souza}, shelves in the shape of dialogue boxes, and even the light bulbs surrounded by acrylic letters spelling out BLAH — this place really is about conversations {so, no WiFi here, folks}.
Digging In
We started off with the super-thick Crunchy Cookie Kaffe which is bound to please coffee-lovers {like us} with its strong flavour {along with chunks of cookies}. Harmit’s special Chocolick — a creamy, milk chocolate-like drink — also found its place among our favourites for its simple taste and slight variations {we tried one with banana}. On the food front, while we tried the Drums of Heaven {made with chaap} it turned out to be way too spicy for our palate. We suggest you try the Stuffed Tandoori Mushroom instead, which comes with a good dose of cheese and a dash of achar, adding a hint of spice. For mains, the semi-gravy-style Special Tawa Paneer {with minced paneer} and the rich and creamy Dal Makhani {which we loved} were mopped up with slightly crisp Special Chur Chur Naan. Next time around, we’re hoping to try more of the chaap variants {everything from kababs to gravies and wraps}.
So, We're Thinking...
Located in BTM Layout, Conversationz Cafe {although it’s more of a restaurant, going by its menu} makes for a great hangout spot. And, when you have quite an array of drinks and grub to pick from, there’s really nothing to complain about. Unless you’re a hardcore meat-lover, of course.
