The Scoop

In the thriving bicycling sub culture of Bangalore, one of the newest entrants have been the brand, Ministri. Team Ministri comprises a few spunky millennial cyclists showered with love by their audience! There’s a race at every cycling race to see which team has the most stylish cyclist swag. Till now, everyone had to import or pick up cool kit when travelling abroad. With Ministri entering the scene, there are jerseys and shorts that are as good as the best in the world. And they’re available to be picked up in a matter of hours. They’ve also just launched what they are calling season two: The Conquest Collection!

The Style

Cyclists are always battling winds on their bike, so being aerodynamic is a necessity. Their kit needs to be functional, first and also needs to be cool enough to be a personal style statement. The Ministri bib shorts {tight shorts designed for being aero and showing off toned legs to the best advantage}, they are apparently very comfortable, made of very high quality material {note, the padding is super important, because of the amount of time put on the saddle of that bike, and the effort the riders put themselves through}. Cyclists who have travelled abroad with Ministri kit say they have experienced a lot of envious glances from fellow cyclists.

What We Love

Weighing in at 103gms for a size ‘Large’ jersey, these Bangalore lads have managed to pull off a joint second position for the lightest aero jersey on the planet! The Conquest range is a homage to the ‘ain’t no mountain high enough’ attitude that cyclists have. If they see a mountain with a motor able road — be  it our own modest Nandi Hills (not so modest if you have to climb it on your bicycle, though), while trying to beat everyone else; or the iconic Mont Ventoux or Col du Tourmalet, which we see on Tour de France’s stages each year.

Look out for their limited edition jerseys. Soon, riders’ seniority in the sport will be quantified by how vintage their Ministri jerseys are!

Who Is It For

The sartorial cyclist. The cyclist who believes “if you can’t be fast, at least look good, doing it”. Women’s kit and runner’s swag, arriving soon!
