The art of feasting

For the Love of Craft, a series that explores the many delicious virtues of chocolate, kickstarts in glamorous fashion this December. Arrive, at The Oberoi, for a sinful, eight-course meal infused with the lusciousness of Earth Loaf chocolate and the refinedness of Jameson Whiskey.

Smells like high spirits

Get your spirits high with a Jameson aperitif, before moving on to a menu that includes House-Cured Winter Vegetable Salad, that features a chocolate and whiskey dressing. Your next step towards culinary nirvana comes in the form of Salmon and Panko Prawns done up in a chocolate chilli ganache, Valencia orange, and a white wine jelly. Vegetarians {there are vegan options available as well} can go for a Beets & Chevre {goat’s cheese} dish that’s dressed up the same way the previously-mentioned salmon is, except the jelly is replaced by candied walnut.

After a round of artisanal cheese and Black Forest Sorbet, you can tuck into mains that include Sous Vide Tenderloin, Stuffed Chicken Breast or Wild Mushroom and Potato Tian. End the meal, with a rich, dark chocolate cremeux that borders on the diabolical.

The food will be paired with drinks that have been put together by David Belo, the Earth Loaf founder and the former head of the London Academy of Bartending.

You can continue the festivities at Drinks on MG, where David has again designed a special menu of cocktails using decadent chocolate and Irish whisky. If you’d like to skip the banquette, and just join the after party, Drinks on MG’s doors are open for you {although entry is limited}.
