Skip town and head past Hosur to reach the Krishnagiri Dam, a picnic spot that’s popular with the locals. While we don’t think much of the dam as a picnic haunt, we’ll happily try the fish stalls that have mushroomed all around the dam. The locals fry up the catch of the day in a robust masala that’s heavy on chilly. You can wolf this down with plate of humble sambhar and rice.
