Learn How to Style Food and Shoot It Too At The Summer House

Ten-second takeaway

Bangalore-based label The Summer House wants you to learn tips and tricks to styling food and food shoots, with a little expert help from blogger Madhuri Aggarwal.

Get trigger happy

Participants will gather {that's what this event is part of: a Gathering as The Summer House likes to describe their in-house events} in the morning and over cups of tea will get to know each other. The morning session will be dedicated to observing and understanding how light, shadow, colours and food work. A short break later with sandwiches and freshly-made juice, you will learn how to apply all that you have learnt by styling a real shoot with props, food, spices, herbs and more. Experiment with different arrangements, style and plate your own food, and shoot it the way you want, all under Madhuri's {who is also a food stylist} expert eye and supervision. Finish your session with another round of tea, followed by adiscussion and some bonhomie, so promise the good folks at The Summer House.

Note to self

Participants are required to carry their own camera. Getting a tripod is an added bonus, but it doesn't matter if you don't have one.
