Flavoured, Marinated and Meaty Versions To Try at Foodhall's Cheese Festival

The information in this post might be outdated

What with an assortment of newly-introduced cheese (from marinated to flavoured) to be sampled, Foodhall's month-long Cheese Festival is all about taking the cheesiness up a notch or two. And, that's not all. Want to add a dash of creamy cheese to your pasta or perhaps, on a sandwich? You'll find everything from breads and pastas to olives and crackers to stock up on along with the cheesy stuff. And cheese platters and trays, too! Before you lament about the numerous cheesy options, here's the good news: we've picked out five categories you need to check out at the festival! Say cheese!

Flavoured Ricotta

Be it for the Honey and Walnut Ricotta that blends the subtle sweetness of honey and the crunch of walnuts with the creamy ricotta or the tangy Basil and Lemon Ricotta, this section should not be missed. You also have the spicier versions like Chives and Black Pepper Ricotta and Zaatar and Chilli Oil to sample.

LBB's pick: Honey & Walnut Ricotta

Marinated Cheese

As if fresh cheese weren't tempting enough, here we have marinated ones to lure us all the more. There's Sundried Tomato and Basil Bocconcini as well as Marinated Feta and Olives with Fresh Herbs vying for your attention. Perfect to be used as a salad dressing or just to add a nuanced flavouring to a dish.

LBB's pick:  Marinated Feta and Olives with Fresh Herbs

Flavoured Cream Cheese

Slather it on sandwiches, put together a platter of crackers topped with it or just scoop it up in spoonfuls for when you want to indulge. The newly-introduced flavoured cheeses include Fresh Dill and Feta Cream Cheese and Roasted Garlic and Parsley Cream Cheese. Cracked Pink Peppercorn and Chive, Green Olive and Chipotle, and Chevre and Caramelised Onion are other house favourites.

LBB's pick: Fresh Dill and Feta Cream Cheese

Non-Veg Cream Cheese

Cheese with the goodness of meat? Yes, please! Dotted with bits of meat, the Blue Cheese and Bacon Cream Cheese and the Spicy Salami Cream Cheese are bound to be instant favourites. So, make sure you don't miss this section of the festival.
