We Bangaloreans take great pride in our amazing weather, but when summer rolls around, it can drain your energy, and sometimes, the will to get out of home. Frolic, should help you energise, and hopefully get out of home, to get some ice cream if nothing else.
Previously a kiosk in Forum, Frolic specialises in bulk orders of selling organic popsicles. Don’t let the word ‘organic’ put you off, because they have some unconventional, but cool options. For those of you not really into consuming flavoured ice, they have options like Real Dark Chocolate (75% dark chocolate, fresh cream, almonds, organic raw sugar, and cacao nibs) and Protein-Pom Splash (Yoghurt, pomegranate, basil, milk, and bourbon vanilla). Classic popsicles more your scene? Flavours like Calm Lemonade (hibiscus, lemon, sugar), and Hearty Tamarind (tamarind, mint, lime, rock salt, and sugar) should tickle your tastebuds literally. Their specialty is the fact that they source local seasonal produce for their popsicles and currently, we know of Black Grapes, Strawberry and Avocado popsicles doing the rounds. Gastronomic adventures aside, they have regular fresh fruit, lemonade, yoghurt, and milk-based popsicles too that change seasonally. We’ve spotted everything from mangoes to kaala jaamun feature in the ingredients, so you know they’re not boring. Apart from frozen treats, they also have a range of cold-pressed juices.
