At this two-day lifestyle exhibition there will be plenty of opportunity to pick up kurtas, sarees, baubles, clutches and decor for your home from designers across the country. Mumbai designer Aarti Vijay Gupta will be at the exhibition with a clothing collection that is inspired by a desi vegetable market or mandi. Gupta has experimented with photo prints of vegetables on organic textiles. Highlights include handwoven Jaamdani, worsted wools, Pashmina and Mul used as fabric in this collection and her reinvention of the humble Gamcha. Another Mumbai label, Myoho, will be showcasing its collection titled The Earth Song where monochrome Ajrakh prints form bold floral patterns on traditional Indian handloom fabrics. Other highlights include a festive collection from Dubai-based designer Saman Tamanna, hand-done embroidery by Kapaas form Kolkata and antique jewellery under the label Suvarnaraj by Sapna Ghatiwala.
