Girls Skate Tour 2015 is the first-of-its-kind skateboarding travelling event and you’re welcome to join them when they pit stop in Bangalore, Kovalam, Kerala and Goa.
Get on board
It really is the age for women to shine, and this time the spotlight is on skateboarders. It doesn’t get more badass than 14 female pro skaterboarders, including India’s first, Atita Verghese, on a bus, touring the country and showing off their tricks at a park near you. And that is exactly what Girls Skate India Tour is all about. Open only to women, and apparently aliens {meaning not pesky boys of any and all ages}, they will kick things off in Kovalam before arriving in town.
Girl power
Here, you’ll be privy to plenty of DIY sessions which range from building the entire ramp {December 31} to using power tools to fix your wheels. They’ll also conduct skate yoga guide {on December 29}, and give all you local ladies demos and workshops the basic of skateboarding and on how to control the board. All in the name of spreading the femme skate vibe {December 30}.
So get your board, and get crusin’ with these uber cool ladies. And who knows, you could be doing flips and ollies soon too!
