New Kid On The Block
Bringing an interesting blend of global and local elements in everything from decor to food, Glocal Junction {the third outlet of the Mumbai-based restaurant chain after Mumbai and Hyderabad} has just opened. And going by their concept, this one promises to be a dynamic space, with all-day dining and casual lounge bar, all rolled into one. So, it’s not just drinks and dinner that you can tuck in to. Breakfast, lunch and even a lazy evening coffee session are on the cards! Spread across two floors, the place has minimal design, but with a rustic touch in the mix. Think walls covered with tiles, all apparently locally made.
Mixing It Up
On the food front, expect a blend of cuisines, ingredients and techniques, sticking to the ‘glocal’ theme. From Chaat Pizza and Biryani Risotto with Khakra Chura to Tuna Salad with Hajmola Dressing and Kalkatta Paan Cheese Cake, the menu here really takes quirky cuisine up a notch while keeping some classics like good old Fish & Chips intact. Make sure you also try some of their cocktails. We are making beeline for the Glocal Long Island Tea or the Black Magic. And, did we mention they have separate menus for different times of the day?
