Grill Daddy is another newbie in town, a hidden gem in Koramangala 7th Block bylanes, that must be experienced for its super delicious food and subtle drinks. On a warm Bengaluru evening, I ended up here with a bunch of friends and sat down with a delicious glass of lemongrass iced tea. I loved the fact that both the flavour of lemongrass and the sweetness were mild and not overpowering the perfectly brewed tea.
We hungry bunch tried out a lot of starters and were very happy with everything, that we tried. This is a fabulous place, and from the loads of items we tried, few were notably supreme and worth a special mention.
* The Stuffed grilled mushrooms were beautifully round goodness that not just looked good, but tasted amazing with every mouthful.
* Pesto Grilled Prawns, another superbly executed dish that had very subtle but impactful flavours that celebrated the protein that was fresh to its core.
I sampled a delicious version of Chicken Satay here, that had beautifully chargrilled chunks of chicken on skewers, elevated to the next level with a superbly mildly sweet, less chunky peanut sauce. It was a match made in heaven, with the flavours dancing on my palate
For mains, we ordered two and decided to share, Grilled fish with lemon butter sauce and Grilled creamy mushroom chicken steak. We ordered the jumbo size which is a shareable portion.
The grilled chicken steak was absolutely delightful, extremely well made and the sauce was absolutely fabulous with strong meaty flavours, it could have been a little thick though.
The Grilled Fish was another fantabulous dish that was flavourful, perfectly cooked fish and the lemon butter sauce, out of the world, but could have been a little thinner though.
Two amazing mains and I was in cloud nine, how far can this experience go. Well, the dessert took me to outer space, the Caramelised grilled banana with Icecream was just a perfect ending to what I would call a fantastic evening of delicious food, celebrating global cuisine, presented superbly. Grill Daddy is a must-visit in Bangalore, period.
