Lowdown On Ambience

Featuring charming, rustic decor with bird cages, glass bottles and cassettes, along with a lovely terrace seating, this is a great place to kick back. There’s also the choice of swing seating upstairs {and free Wi-Fi!} to spend a calming afternoon.

What’s On The Menu

If you’re craving a meal without having to wait for a table, head on over to Grubnomic. It’s located in Koramangala in a now-converted house {quite easy to miss}, so keep an eye out for their bright red logo. We were immediately intrigued by their ‘House of Gastronomy’ tagline. The Saucy Tangy Sausages are a juicy start to the meal, along with the Cheesy Fries and Garlic Bread. Diets definitely go out the window with this one! While drinks are slightly above average {our Iced Tea tasted watered down}, many speak highly of their smoothies. While waiting for your order, there are also books to keep you entertained. There’s also the choice of swing seating upstairs {and free Wi-Fi!} to spend a calming afternoon.

Grab Some Grub

Besides Continental Breakfast: think baked beans, pancakes, omelettes, sausages and bacon, this place serves sandwiches, pizzas and burgers. Their menu also has options like Blackened Chicken {seasoned chicken in a cucumber salsa}, Egg Florentine {spinach, veggies and gooey egg} and mains including pastas and steaks. We were surprised to learn that the steaks {we ordered the Barbeque Chicken Steak} come without a sauce, but they’re dry-rubbed with luscious seasoning and are cooked well on a bed of caramelised onions and mashed potato. They also have desserts such as Mango Mousse and Brownie Trifle. Dig in!

So We’re Thinking…

We definitely like Grubnomic’s festival specials such as their Easter additions of carrot cake and dessert eggs with caramel, peanut butter and crème fillings. They may not be the next big thing {their food doesn’t particularly stand-out} but their youthful ambience and budget pricing keeps up the interest.
