Punjab Bistro in Koramangala is showcasing a haleem festival all through Ramadan and you are invited to try out seven different kinds of haleem including two vegetarian options.

What Makes It Awesome

For those of you who want to eat their haleem in peace and not battle it out at the crowded street food stalls at Frazer Town and Koramangala's Iftar spread, there's Punjab Bistro's fine dine Shaan-E-Haleem fest for you to check out. The swish bistro is dishing out seven kinds of haleem all through Ramadan and there's enough for both parties -- purists who believe in only the meat kind of haleem and the often overlooked vegetarians.

Start off with the Kathal Haleem which is basically raw jackfruit that's cooked exactly like a traditional mutton haleem. Since jackfruit mimics the texture of meat, purists will find it worthy of finishing it off while vegetarians, that's your winner for the night. Pair it with vegetarian biryani (or pulao if you please) or sheermal and you have yourself a meal. Oh, and wash it all down with Muharram Doodh Ka Sherbet (saffron infused milk with watermelon, and chia seeds).

On to the meaty side, you have the OG mutton haleem along with a duck, turkey, chicken, and a seafood variant. We particularly loved the duck haleem that's made with duck that's been oven roasted for six hours. The flavours are on point and with a squeeze of lime, there's extra depth to the haleem. Best to have it with the mutton biryani. Finish off your feast with Qubani-Ka-Meetha, a very Hyderabadi dessert made of dried apricots and rabri.

Pro-Tip

The fest is on from Friday, May 17 to Friday, June 14 all through the day.
