Words would do no justice if you could see how beautiful the entire city has decked up for dusshera. Dusshera is celebrated for nine days in mysuru. There are numerous activities to do so we can enjoy the dusshera festival as well. First of all the palace is lit with lights and the photos does no justice too to the beauty of the palace. It lits up at 7pm exactly and numerous ppl gather in front of the palace to watch it. There is a special exhibition for dusshera which has all the fun activities like ferry wheel , food and everything which was happening right across the palace. You can see the huge "welcome" done in lights across the mountain to witness the events.

For foodies, There are food Mela happening which showcases the variety of food special in karnataka as well as other states speciality. We liked the Madhur vada especially.
For sports lovers, The city has also conducted "dusshera wrestling" where people wrestle in muds. There are events like volley ball,etc conducted in this 9 days as well.
For book readers, there is a book exhibition happening in Mysore as a dusshera special where you could find all kannada books.
For adventure junkies, there was a water sports Adventure which included kayaking, canoeing,jet ski, water trampoline as well.
For people interested in dance and music, there was "yuva sambharama" which is students from colleges were participating in dancing and cultural events such as bharathanatiyam is also happening. Famous singers are also performing music in this 9 days as well.
