House of Rūh is a Bangalore-based decor brand that is bringing a bit of Istanbul to us with its handcrafted Turkish lamps, chandeliers and porcelain plates that have been imported from Turkey.

    What Makes It Awesome

With a collection of handcrafted mosaic lamps and porcelain plates, House of Rūh is importing gorgeous Turkish decor from different parts of this Eurasian country for us to pretty up our spaces with. We first chanced upon the brand in Safina Plaza where their lamps stood out from the regular fare of curtains and home linen available there. Since then the brand has grown and boasts of a more exquisite range of lamps, chandeliers and decorative plates than ever before. It felt like we were entering Aladdin’s Agrabah. Stocked with your quintessential Turkish lamps with intricate glasswork on them, each piece is a work of art. Apart from adding a bit of exotic charm to your home, these lamps also add a pop of colour and are available in a range of lovely hues and colour combinations. If you’re looking more elaborate lighting options, they even have Turkish chandeliers that are stunning too. Prices for the lamps start at INR 2,500 and the chandeliers are priced at INR, 7,500 and upwards.

Coming to the decorative plates, these hand-painted porcelain beauties are yet another home decor treasure available here. Perfect for putting up on plain walls or as fancy home accents, their prices are pretty pocket-friendly too, starting at INR 1,500 for a platter. Apart from their Safina Plaza store, you can catch House of Rūh popping up at many flea markets happening in the city.

Keep track of them on Facebook. They pop up a lot at flea markets.
