Celebrating regional diversity, Foodhall is focusing on Italian food for the entire month of September and two weeks of October. Mama Mia!

The Italian fiesta

With representation from the seven regions: Sicily, Emilia, Umbria, Liguria, Tuscany, Abruzza and Campania, the Italian promotion at Foodhall will showcase cheeses, handmade pasta and artisan breads. Expect cheeses such as Scarmoza, Ricotta, Mascarpone, Pecorino Romano, Provolone, Taleggio, Gorgonzola and more. If the cheese doesn’t make you excited enough, then Foodhall’s selection of artisan breads such as Ciabatta, Focaccia, Sundried Tomato and Feta Baguette, Pesto Rolls, Panini and Grissini ought to do the trick.

Fresh handmade pasta variants such as Cannelloni, Gnocchi, Angel Hair and Squid Ink will be available to complete the Italian experience. And for those who can’t do without their thin crust pizzas, chefs will specially craft thin craft pizza bases and even gluten-free versions, for you to take away.

Lights, camera, action

The live counters will dish up Sundried Tomato Pesto, Basil Pesto, Smoked Aubergine Caponata and more. We are loving the section on Zoodles (spaghetti made out of zucchini}, penne shaped out of beetroot and Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli. Sandwiches stuffed with typical Italian ingredients such as basil, Bocconcini and tomatoes, desserts such as the classic Tiramisu and a selection of olive oil and dried herbs will be up for grabs too.
