What Makes It Awesome

If you've always wanted to be a pilot, or love the idea of flying around, then we have news for you! You can check that off your bucket list this weekend by being a co-pilot. And the best part is that no prior flying experience is needed. At the Jakkur Aerodrome you can fly a two-seater plane and get a taste of flying a non-commercial aircraft right here in Bangalore.

You can sign up to fly a Microlight at the Agni Aerosports Adventure Academy in Jakkur Aerodrome. As mentioned, the flight can carry up to two people, and has a maximum capacity of up to 450 kilograms.

When it comes to booking, you can book the one day package which starts with a brief introduction to the theory of flying, rules, and regulations in the air, flight communication, and a debriefing session after landing. You will be learning from India's first micro-light licensed pilot, Captain Arvind Sharma and his team of experienced pilots.

The duration of the flight will be between 10 and 30 minutes (they’re different packages) on a Microlight Aircraft which might not seem like a lot, but we bet once you're mid-air, it won't matter!

Needless to say, the experience is limited to one person at a time, while the experience itself needs to be booked a day in advance. According to us, this seems like the perfect solo birthday activity.

For timings, the experience is open to the public on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) from 6.30 AM to 9.30 AM.

A 7to 10-minute ride will cost you INR 3,700, while a 15-20 minute ride will cost you INR INR 7,400. All you've got to do is go on to the MyFlying.in website, choose your desired package and book it. However, do note that the availability depends on the weather conditions.

LBB-Tip: Children below the age of five aren’t allowed.
