Lively French pop music is what you can look forward to at this concert by Paris-based singer Juliette Katz.
From France, with love
Juliette Katz is often compared to the English singer, Adele but her music coupled with her slightly husky voice definitely sets her apart from other artistes. Following her dream of becoming a singer (from the age of four, reportedly), Juliette released her first album, Tout Va De Travers (Everything Goes Wrong) in 2012. Apart from collaborations with Scott Jacoby (Grammy Award-winning American record producer) and Bardi Johannsson (Icelandic musician), the album also includes a track with Australian singer-songwriter, Sia. We love her idea of Apartment Tours, which involves her and a group of musicians going to apartments and performing for a small audience.
What's in store?
The twenty-something artiste will be in town for a concert (organised by Alliance Francaise de Bangalore) as part of her Indian tour, performing along with French guitarist, Ben Benoliel. Expect French pop along with some soul music, featuring tracks with optimistic lyrics and sung in Juliette's distinct voice and style. We're hoping to catch her singing some of our favourites from her album, like Tout Le Monde (Everyone), L'antidote (The Antidote) and Vague à l’âme (Melancholy).
