What's Happening

The fifth annual Kere Habba (Kannada for “Lake Festival”) is here and it’s just as fun as ever! A day long fete, the Habba is all about celebrating the lovely lakes of Bangalore and showing citizens how to get involved in order to preserve them. As is tradition now, the event will be held at Kaikondrahalli lake (off Sarjapur road) and will feature a host of activities, starting with a 5K run - the serene green trail around the lake is perfect to get your day started. Attend conferences and talks about lake conservation, eat local food at the food stalls and learn about the history of the city from master storyteller Praveen Singh, a native Bangalorean and the city’s favourite history buff. You can even take little ones to the event since there are plenty of activities planned for them (including a reading corner and science activities!).

How's The Venue

Spread across 48 acres, Kaikondrahalli lake is home to migratory birds and is great for a lovely walk around its perimeters.

Price Includes

Entry is free but you might be charged at individual stalls.

Make A Note

If you’re registering for the 5K run, do so before February 14 to avail their early bird registration (INR 250 per head).
