If you want to feel Goa right here in Bangalore, and that too a 70s kind of trippy Goa, with proper beach shack vibes, then the city’s newest joint — Lady Baga {coming soon} will please you no end. Psychedelic murals, embroidered and mirror work beans bags, and a wall full of framed photos of the Goan hippie era and other souvenirs — this is what Lady Baga’s decor looks like. They don’t shy away from putting splashes of really bright colours on their walls and it might make you feel like you are on a trip, but the happy kind.
Coming to the food and drinks, where there is Goa, can seafood and feni be far behind? Actually, feni is not allowed beyond Goan borders, so the in house mixologist has created a cashew vodka to make up for that. Expect plenty of eccentric drinks and fried seafood — from prawns to bombil, plus signature Goan curries like vindaloo, balchao, recheado, and cafreal. We also hear these guys love serving breakfast up to 8pm {why not, after all we are on Goa time}; that’s what their Delhi branch does. There will be shack grub, traditional Konkan thalis and a big, fat Goan menu apart from other fun, bar bites.
