While the entire underground stretch of Namma Metro will take more time to be ready, officials are set to open up a partial 5 km route, come Friday, April 29.

Forming a T, the route allows commuters to travel between Nagasandra in the north, to Byappannahalli in the east, and Nayandanahalli in the west, reducing traversal time considerably. The rest of the 42 km stretch will be available to the public by Rajyotsava {November 1} promises Bengaluru Development Minister KJ George. The stretch will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and M Venkaiah Naidu, Union minister of Urban Development, Housing and Poverty Alleviation, with the services starting at 6am.
