Okay, we’re super stoked. As part of the India-UK Year of Culture in 2017, iconic wax museum Madame Tussaud’s will be opening in New Delhi. That’s not all: The museum’s parent brand, Merlin, is set to invest 50 million pounds in India over 10 years, bringing other UK favourites, Sea Life aquariums and Legoland Discovery Centres across India. *Hyperventilates*

The Year of Culture 2017 will be a year-long programme to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Indian independence, and UK cultural ties. During the cultural exchange, a Shakespeare First Folio {the first collected edition of his plays!}, treasures from the British Museum and a copy of the Magna Carta will go on touring displays in India, while an Indian festival will be staged in the UK.

The British Library will also be digitising 200,000 pages of their South Asian archives, making Indian books from 1714 to 1914 accessible around the globe.

There’ll be a whole lot more, but hey, we’re just really looking forward to Legoland.
