The Lime Diaries Celebrates #NammaPride With An LGBTQIA Travel Session

What Is It?

The art of storytelling has been inspired by journeys for generations now. Be it tales of pirates and sailors on stormy seas or washing up on an island inhabited by minuscule people, they've amused us all. And The Lime Diaries, a travel-talk series, curated by travel company Byond Travel, has always let us live vicariously through others' tales! But this time, you're in for something vastly different from anything before. Their upcoming version ties in with the #NammaPride month and brings us handpicked travel anecdotes from the LGBTQIA community.

Who Is It For?

We're a generation obsessed with wanderlust. This one's for every one who has a bag packed and ready to set off, given any opportunity! Plus, as a flagship event in the #NammaPride month, it's even more reason to celebrate. If you love stories {who doesn't?!} and/or aim to be a professional globetrotter, block your Tuesday evening for this event.

Why Should I Go For It?

If you've always loved listening to stories around cozy bonfires or had a childhood filled with grandma's tales, this event might just be that little bit of the past! Apart from showing your support to the LGBTQIA community, you'll get to hear the enthralling stories of Alex Mathew and Shaunak Mahbubani, among others. Alex Mathew, popularly known and adored as Maya The Drag Queen or Mayamma, discusses issues related to individualism, feminism and gender equality in our community. Shaunak Mahbubani, the second confirmed speaker, is a graphic and interface designer who curates stories through visual and interactive art that creates conversation and understanding for the queer community.

When: Tuesday, November 15

Where: The Humming Tree, 949, 12th Main Road, Indiranagar

Price: Free entry
