What Makes It Awesome ?

An architect by profession, Chitra found her true calling when she visited a few tribal villages during her thesis research. She was inspired by their way of life and how they used artistic expressions in their everyday life. Soon, she started learning Madhubani and worli art, which gave her the confidence to pursue her art full time.

She has been learning other tribal art forms such as kalamkari, gond, pichwai, santhal, and Kerala mural paintings all by her self. She says that her biggest inspiration is Jamini Roy.

Chitra works from home, and you'll often see her work on display at stalls during events. You can find bookmarks, wedding invitations, and paintings creating using these art forms on her Instagram account.
