Perk Up Them Blah Dishes With Dips And Spice Rubs From Mamakutti

Want to jazz up your sandwiches, pastas or grills? Mamakutti’s dips, sauces and spice rubs to the rescue.

Always wanted something handy to help simplify your cooking or just to add an exotic touch to a favourite dish? That’s exactly what Kalpana Kutty {former advertising producer} had in mind when she began trying her hand at whipping up exotic dips and sauces. Starting off by preparing these for her family and occasional pop-ups at events, she eventually decided to take the plunge with her online venture, Mamakutti {equipped with her training from one of France’s top culinary schools, Ecole Gregoire de Ferrandi}. The small selection of products currently offered include dips, sauces and spice rubs like Harissa, Moroccan Spice Rub, Sundried Tomato and Olive Tapenade. All made with 90 per cent organic ingredients, too, claims Kalpana.

Whether it is the fiery Moroccan Spice Rub {great to add a bit of middle-eastern flavour to your meaty dishes} or the Harissa {a red chillies-based paste that is a staple of North African cooking}, Mamakutti’s goodies are perfect to add an interesting twist to your meals. Their Sundried Tomato and Olive Tapenade goes well with a simple pasta or even makes for a great salad dressing. Stock up on a jar or two of their Pesto Di Aglio Olio e Peperoncino, which you can add onto your grilled chicken or even just slices of toast with cream cheese. And, if you’re not too sure about how you can add them up into your dishes, their Facebook page has recipes every now and then.

Look out for their range of savoury jams, which will be introduced soon. Apart from their Raw Mango Chilli Jam, Kalpana is working with vegetables like pumpkin, beetroot and carrot to add to the line.
