What Is It?

Varnam, best known for Indian designs, crafts and philosophy, presents Varnam Trunkpetti, a pop-up space at their new address in Indiranagar. And kicking off the whole concept is Manifest Design’s Sirena and Agung jewellery lines. For those of you who don’t know Manifest Design, it’s the dream project and brainchild of siblings Manreet and Samraat Deol that focused on using reclaimed brass, aluminium, using the ancient metallurgy technique of sand casting to create beautiful pieces of jewellery.

Who’s It For?

Sirena and Aguna is meant to fall into the category of wearable art, and that’s what it is. The line is sculpted by co-founder Manreet Deol, and is inspired by nature that is so prevalent in and around her workspace in Pondicherry. So if you’re looking for accessories that are rooted in the magical world under the sea, Sirena is for you. Think fluid statement pieces. In contrast to that, Aguna is all about the organic anthropological theme with timeless pendants and bracelets.

Why Should I Go For It?

For starters, you’ve probably not realised that this collection has international fame. Nope? Still not ringing any bells? Well Sirena and Aguna were showcased at the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History in New York. See, now you want to rush for it, eh? Apart from that though, each piece is painstakingly created by masters of the art giving you one-of-a-kind works of art you can wear. How’s that for exclusive? Look out also for the slightly sandy texture of the jewels, that shines through the soft prettiness of the pieces.
