Mumbai's MaxMeet Social Launches In Bangalore With Poetry Tuesdays

Budding poets, take note! Mumbai-based community, MaxMeet Social makes way to the city with their monthly meetup, Poetry Tuesdays, and more in store.

When Mumbai-based professional, Anish Vyavahare started with MaxMeet Social at Thane {in 2011}, all he had in mind was to create a community to bring together poets and likeminded artistes in the city. Growing and going strong since then, the group recently marked the completion of five years with the launch of MaxMeet Social in Bangalore! While they’re yet to roll out other events, you can look out for their signature Poetry Tuesdays aka PT, a monthly open mic-style event {on the third Tuesday of every month} that lets poets in the city come together, talk about their works and read them out loud. Perfect for everyone from amateurs to published writers, they welcome poets of all ages, languages and genres.

While the Bangalore team is hoping to explore other art forms and hobbies too {a book club, perhaps?}, we’re hoping to get a version of Friday Studio {which happens with the Mumbai group}, with stand up comedy and music taking centrestage. Also on the cards are series like PT Specials which will have a curated lineup of poets presenting stage and performance poetry. And, even workshops focusing on poetry and writing coming up soon, we hear. It’s time to put that pen to paper, poets!
