What Makes It Awesome

Mums and Dads, we have great news for you! Minka Sikka, a wonderful mommy of two, based out of Bangalore, has kicked of Mommy's Healthy Kitchen that makes all sorts of healthy and very delicious snacks. Tried and tested by all the kids in the house (age 2 all the way up to 65 years, of course), we are absolute fans of all that Mommy's Healthy Kitchen has to offer. Plus, they source locally, ethically and believe in reducing carbon footprint to the best they can. You can see why we so love Minka and this brand, that in fact first kicked off in 2016, at LBB's Dessert Bazaar, at Arbor Brewing Company!

We loved the Chocolate Almond Granola that's packed with rolled oats, unsweetened cocoa, organic jaggery, raw honey, almonds, olive oil and cranberries. It's great for between-meal snacking; not only is it filling, but it also gives you an energy boost. The breads too are wonderful. We tried the burger buns and the organic bread. Unsliced, the loaf of bread is made of while wheat, raw honey that add a subtle flavour, as well as lemon, fresh yeast and sunflower oil. Perfect with their homemade mayonnaise which we devoured in a single sitting!

Try their sesame burger buns with the in-house burger patties. They have black bean, chicken and lamb, which are gently spiced and highly flavourful. They even do them for kids with less spice, if you request. It was easy to make and who can say no to a good, wholesome burger eh? At INR 150 for two patties, it's quite pocket friendly too. Into DIY pizzas? Minka will sort you out with organic pizza bases in whole wheat or basil pizza bread. They even have pizza sauce.

I also recommend the pesto sauce that stays for up to two months in the freezer. It makes a fabulous pesto pasta, and adds excitement to any old salad too. My niece and I are huge fans of the creamy peanut butter as well, especially with the bread.

Pro-Tip

If you would like to reuse and recycle (which really, we all should!), then do collect all your glass bottles, and return them to Mommy's Healthy Kitchen in sets of 10, and get INR 100 off your next order.
