Health cafe and studio Enerjuvate will be adding some new vegetarian goodies and vegan delights to their menu soon {this weekend} and yes, this includes momosas — a samosa-meets-momo hybrid.

Momosas Anyone?

Determined to prove that healthy food can be tasty too, Enerjuvate hasn’t shied away from experimenting with their food and menu. We have tried unusual recipes like their ragi momos and their amaranth base pizzas at the health cafe and they didn’t disappoint. Now, the creative folks at Enerjuvate are out with a new menu that features some of their latest culinary creations, including the momosa. A hybrid of two popular Asian quick bites, the momosa is a marriage between the momo and the samosa.

These steamed and pan-fried momos come in four varieties — a maize flour momo with a Mumbai-style aloo masala filling, a ragi momo stuffed with raw bananas, a corn and spinach momo with a beetroot and jowar base and a spinach and jowar flour momo with a hakka noodle filling. If you, like us, want to try it all, opt for the momo platter that features an assortment of these with 12 momosas for INR 350. We tucked into these pockets of deliciousness and we have no regrets. And if we’re picking favourites, we’re huge fans of the spinach and corn variety.

There's More...

Apart from the momosas, you can also find other interesting food hybrids on Enerjuvate’s new menu like their Ragi Gnocchi Aglio Ailo, sprinkled with cheese, wholesome and delicious and their Cucumber Boats, a creamy Tahini-style coleslaw with fresh apples, crunchy greens, corn and carrots served in a cucumber topped with a soy ginger jaggery sauce that gives it just the kick of spice it needs. You can also try their healthy enchiladas and veggie green wraps.

What's For Dessert?

Don’t worry, the new menu has loads of sweet treats on offer too. Vegan ice creams, which they call Nice Creams come in flavours like Almond Mint and Chili Guava and are made with fresh and creamy coconut milk. With zero added sugars and no preservatives, this sweet treat can be consumed guiltlessly. Not ready for vegan ice creams yet? Opt for their fluffy cakes instead. We tried the tutti-fruity cake made with dry fruits like apricots and raisins and the Banana-oat chocolate cake with a bitter coffee flavour that balances out the sweetness of the cake. What’s more, wash all of this down with their coolers and mojitos. We recommend the Pomegranate Ginger Mojito and the Pineapple Coconut Cooler.

When: The new menu will be available from Saturday, September 16 onwards
