More often than not our users, friends, family, and anyone who knows we work at LBB ask us one question: What is a new place I should eat at? And we pride ourselves in answering that question time and again. But then there comes a time when there are a few too many new places for us to remember. Hence this list of new restaurants and bars that are opened in Bangalore. Thank us, later (or now, we love hearing from you)! Oh and always remember to follow all the safety regulations when you are heading to these places!

Woodpegger

North Bangalore folks, your new bar offers rooftop dining with a beautiful view. Woodpegger goes high on nostalgia with the interiors themed around classic retro elements. Oh, and that's not all. There's also a dance floor where dance and music enthusiasts can shake a leg to fresh and popular tunes, with live music by homegrown and international talents being hosted soon. Food is global with plenty of retro-themed cocktails.

Paper & Pie

Indiranagar's bustling cafe scene gets a new entry in the form of Paper & Pie. The cafe goes beyond the usual elements of what makes a cafe by offering patrons podcast rooms, conference rooms, workstations, and being a space for the creator community. Head here for work, shoot some videos, and meet up with like-minded folks. Obviously over food and coffee that includes cafe fare, Italian options, pizza, and some fresh bakes.

Meter Bar

Touted to be the world's first 'drink-by-the-meter' concept bar & restaurant, Meter Bar offers patrons an innovative way to drink and pay. Simply put, patrons are billed based on the time they spend having a drink — from the moment the order is placed to you finishing it the meter keeps ticking. To go with your drinks, there's global fusion fare along with popular Indian, Mexican, and Pan-Asian fares. Plus, vegan options too.

Hitchki

The latest outpost of Hitchki, a Nagpur and Mumbai-based resto-bar, is at Phoenix Market City, Mahadevpura. Designed to be a neighbourhood bar, the space is spread out to accommodate a larger group of people. On the food front, it's a menu that's inspired by cult Bollywood movies so expect Langda Tyagi to Moong Bharo Sajna. The drinks also get a Bollywood makeover in the form of Pechan Kaun and Ek Chutki Sindoor Ki Keemat.

Yuki

The new Pan-Asian place in Koramangala is a brewhouse and a kitchen serving up Thai, Indonesian, Korean, Malayasian, Chinese, and Japanese options. Order pho, baos, wontons, dimsums, sushi, sashimi, ramen, and Asian meals such as Singapore Mee Fung and Pad Thai.. that is, we feel, enough options for two people.

Platform 65

Platform 65 is touted to be India's largest toy-train themed restaurant and their new location is in Namma Uru. Located on Bannerghatta Road, the restaurant will serve over 500 dishes in toy trains. Each table is set up like various train stations with tracks going all around the place. You can order everything from Chinese to Tandoor from the menu.

Nerlu Cafe

Coffee enthusiasts, the latest coffee shop in Bangalore is all about promoting and celebrating Indian Coffee. Nerlu (which means shadow in Kannada) is located in the vicinity of Taj West End and they have a unique 'coffee discovery menu' that offers customers selections from an evolving list of 10 diverse coffees, that change every two weeks. We love the European aesthetics of the space and there's outdoor seating too. Plus, it's pet-friendly as well. Apart from coffee,  the in-house bakery and kitchen serve cakes, cookies, cheesecakes, quiches, sandwiches, crostinis, salads, and soups.

The Terrace Bar & Kitchen

JP Nagar is the new happening spot in Bangalore and adding to its vibrant nightlife is The Terrace Bar & Kitchen. It's by the same folks behind 1131 and House Of Commons. We hear that they can seat 300 people at a time here and that it comes with a retractable roof so that even if there's rain (or sun), you can keep enjoying. The menu gives an Indian twist to global dishes so check out the signature dishes such as Dynamite Koyla and Raunaqeen Mutton Seekh. On the drinks front, try signatures such as Violet, and Twilight.

Traveller's Bungalow

Indiranagar's bustling 12th Main gets a new addition in the form of a "bungalow". The Traveller's Bungalow brings together travel, food, and Insta-worthy interiors in one place. Whether it's the terrace seating filled with greens or the downstairs bar side lounge seating, there's no spot that can't make it to your feed. The food, which is curated and created by Chef Sabyasachi Gorai, is global and diverse to cater to discerning patrons who may have travelled around the world. Think Pala pizzas of Naples, Beignets of France, and the meaty grills of Portugal ports.
