Nitrogen Ice Cream, Waffle Cones And Drama: Time To Iceperiment
Ten Second Takeaway
What Was The Experience Like?
One of the newer entrants to the liquid-nitrogen ice-cream brigade, the menu boasts plenty of fun options, including ‘berry candy floss’ and ‘caramel popcorn’, in addition to the more traditional flavours you’d expect, like strawberry and chocolate. As each serving is made to order, plan to be a little patient – it takes about five minutes to get each order ready, and there are currently only two mixing stations. The wow factors is the liquid nitrogen, of course, but also the plating of the ice cream. Each is served in a fresh waffle-cone-bowl and artfully plated according to what the order/flavour is. Kids will love the drama, especially if it’s their first time.
Who Is It For?
It’s great for anyone who likes ice cream. But it’s even better for families with kids as they antics keeps littles ones amused.
What's The Ambience Like?
There’s plenty of seating indoors & out, with fun chalkboard detailing of the creation process up on the wall. The focus is on the creation process, so there’s no need for fussy decor.
We ordered the Double Choco Chip and Peanut Butter Choco. Double Choco Chip was packed full of chocolately flavour with different textures from the ice cream itself, to the mini chips inside, to the sprinkles and biscuit on the top. Peanut Butter Choco had plenty of crunch thanks to peanut bits from the peanut butter, as well as mini chips blended inside. Topped with a mini-Snickers bar and drizzled in chocolate, it was really well balanced. Both options were creamy and indulgent; a great plus point as this can be a challenge to achieve if the nitrogen isn’t used correctly.
