What Makes It Awesome

If you're a true Swadeshi at heart or are a lover of original designs, block printed by hand on Indian textiles, we suggest you make Nuaa your go-to E-store. Run by a mother-daughter duo, this local artisan business is reviving the dying craft of hand block printing through its practical clothing and products for home.

We are gushing over the vibrant colours and very Indie designs Nuaa is bringing us (they come as almost a breath of fresh air!). Starting off, the hand block printed sarees are gorgeous. Definitely check out the citrus-hued Mangalagiri Saree with temple art inspired motifs strewn in teal and turquoise and the Chanderi Silk Cotton Saree collection, we are eyeing the ones with a bull print. They also sell intricately designed dupattas, stoles, yardage, stitched and semi stitched suits. Another feather in this brand's hat is the fact that they ethically source and work with handloom weavers for their sarees and textiles and work with handloom woven cottons from Andhra and Kota, Chanderi silk-cotton and Tussar silk. This entire range is priced INR 1,200 upwards.

The soft, handloom woven cotton sheets have delicate patterns printed on them and do not bleed upon washing (phew!). The bedding sets come with two bolster covers and a pillow cover. They also retail bed linen, table linen, cushion covers, dohars and curtains (price ranges between INR 300 to INR 2,500).

Nuaa's latest Bhutkun collection for kids totes has our heart! Aside from shopping for the softest dohars and bed sets for the babies, you can keep them fashionable with their adorable range of skirts, anghrakhas, and lehengas. They come in motifs of naughty dinosaurs, cute lions, silly doggos (so fun!) and cost between INR 500 to INR 1,400.

You can order from their soon-to-be up website, or Facebook and Instagram handles for now.

Pro-Tip

You can customise too. Pick from Nuaa's wide range of plain fabrics and sarees and we will customise and print for you. In fact, they love to work with old sarees - ones that are 'too plain' or ‘boring’ or old-fashioned or have stains on them and give them a new lease of life!
